My dog's facial pictures don't come clear because he is black in color. How to make it clear?

His face is barely visible when his picture is taken. it looks like pure coal, and you can't tell where the eyes or nose is. What can i do to make him look attractive in photo? I am embarassed to put his picture on myspace and facebook
